With the end of our first six weeks concluding on Friday, our teachers have a planned staff development day on Monday, September 21. We hope students are able to enjoy your three day weekend with family and friends. We will return to school September 22 at 7:55 AM. Go Tigers!

Someone at the Junior High game this evening left their umbrella and sunglasses at the game in Sidney. They will be in the administration building at Blanket ISD if you’re looking for them. Have a great night and Go Tigers!

Blanket School is proud to announce our Week 5 Tiger Tracks Perfect Attendance winners! The following students were chosen from a drawing of students that attended every day of school last week. Entries for the new drawing started today, so help us work together to give your student the opportunity to be one of next week's winners!

Blanket High School will be having our Pink Out game on October 2nd against the Iredell Dragons. We have shirts available for sale from our High School Cheerleaders!

The Blanket Tiger Boys XC Team placed first at the Dublin Cross Country Invitational! Alex V finished 2nd, Wyatt M 5th, Aiden B 7th, Leo V 8th, Memo L 14th, and Kade R got 21st. We are extremely proud of our Tigers for the hard work they put in every day!

Dear Blanket ISD Community,

After consulting with the local fire department regarding weather conditions at the scheduled time of our Homecoming bonfire, we have made the difficult decision to not light tonight’s bonfire.

Based on current conditions, lighting the bonfire presents a significant risk of starting a wildfire and could put members of our community, neighboring properties, surrounding land, and first responders at risk. While we understand how much this tradition means to our students, families, and alumni, the safety of our community is our priority.

We are still excited to celebrate Homecoming together! Tonight’s pep rally will be moved to the Blanket ISD Gymnasium and will begin at 7:00 p.m. We look forward to celebrating our students and the Blanket Tigers.

We are also working to identify a future date when we can safely hold the bonfire lighting and continue this tradition. We will share those details with the community as soon as they are finalized.

Thank you for your understanding, support in helping keep our community safe. We look forward to seeing everyone in the gym tonight.
