Since 2009, GMK HPDE Driving Experience Weekend has always been about more than cars, horsepower, or lap times.

It’s about the people.

Over the years, this event has created amazing friendships, unforgettable memories, and a community of automotive enthusiasts who share the same passion.

Many drivers came to their first event not knowing anyone… and left with friendships that continue years later.

Yes, we love the cars — the sound, the performance, and learning what they are capable of in a safe and controlled environment — but the moments in the paddock, the conversations, the laughs, and the stories after the helmets come off are what make the weekend.

Another successful trip to Roebling Road Raceway is in the books! ✅🏁

It was back to business as usual this year in Savannah (no snow ❄️), with a lineup of cars whose Track Tests will begin airing on the show in just a few weeks.

We are aware that our website is currently down. We are working hard to restore it and appreciate your patience while we get it back up and running. 🏁

🏁 Information Update - Roebling Road Raceway was fortunate to only sustain minor issues from Hurricane Helene. Our track remained undamaged, allowing us to continue our operations safely. While we were very lucky to come through the storm with minor impacts, our thoughts are with others in our community who face significant challenges in the aftermath of the storm.

Our track has lost a phenomenal person. The former Buccaneer Region RE, Don Johnson is now racing up in heaven. Don was a kind, caring person who always had a smile on his face and a positive outlook. His dedication to our track, the SCCA, and The Buccaneer Region was unwavering. He spent many hours coordinating and helping with events for the Buccaneer Region and Roebling Road on and off the track. Don meant a great deal to so many of us. He will be truly missed as his passing has left a void in our region and in the hearts of those who were lucky to know him. We send our love and condolences to Laura and his family. 🏁 🏴‍☠️💔

Obituary for Donny Wayne Johnson at West Chatham Chapel Donny Wayne Johnson, 67, of Guyton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at his home. Donny was born in Blakely, Georgia and had lived here since 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Howell Johnson and Janie Ruth Moore Johnson. Donny retired from Effingham County
