Hey! It’s been a while 😅With all of the hype going on for the Maxx Daddy race at Fairbury American Legion Speedway this weekend, we figured we would give a little update! We haven’t raced since the Backroad Rumble at Viola in August. That is mainly due to school and fall sports starting up! With everything going on, there hasn’t been a lot of time to be working in the garage so we have been sidelined for a bit to focus on some other things! We figured this would be a good time to get engines refreshed and get Marshall set up with a new ride!

Here’s what we’ve been up to:

Parker started his freshman year of high school, and is playing freshman and JV football at U-High. He is also playing for the JV MCYHA Sharks Hockey team!

Bowen made the 12uAA Bloomington Youth Hockey team and has already been working hard at practices. In addition, he is continuing his training towards his third degree black belt in taekwondo!

Marshall is playing flag football, and loving it! He will also be playing his 2nd year of 6u house league hockey, next month!

Oh yeah, and we’re prepping our house to sell 😅. Lots going on! That being said, you may see us sometime during indoor season! We miss racing already!! Stay tuned! We will update as we can. I will be posting our content from the last couple races of the season soon.

No racing for us this weekend as we are adjusting to Parker starting school, football, and hockey try outs for Bo…but here is Marshall announcing his line up for his race tonight 😅

Just wrapping up for the day. Our team spent the day in and out of wet basements doing all we can to get our customers safe and at ease in their homes tonight.

Day 2 results from the ViolaBoyz Backroad Rumble.

Drivers came from all over the country for this race. Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri, Oklahoma, Minnesota, California, North Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Michigan, Nebraska, Tennessee, Arkansas, Nevada, Oregon, Ohio, and even Canada!

🟢Parker (500 Winged Outlaw-50 Entries)
Only 16 of the 50 made it into the big show, so he had his work cut out for him!
C Main- He started 6th out of 16 cars in the race and they were only taking the top 4 to the B main. He worked his way to 4th. On that same lap the caution came out so he had to go back to 5th. Didn’t have a great start and fell back a few spots. Racing hard with another car he then got ran off the backstretch by another driver. Caution came out and he was sent to the back, and worked his way up to 10th, going for more and just ran out of laps.

Upset not to make it into the B Main but he overcame a lot this weekend and it was great experience to be racing with that many cars at such a high level of competition!

🔵Bowen (250 Winged Outlaw- 27 entries)
B Main: 4th➡️5th.
Bo just had a really tight kart for the race. He drove great, but every lap the push got worse and worse. All in all he knew he did the best he could. And again they only started 16 of 27 cars, and there were no slouches! Very tough competition!! A lot was learned and fun was had.

🔴Marshall (RBox- 17 Entries)
17th➡️16th
Man, we are so proud of this kid!! I think I (Mom) was the more nervous for this kid than I was Parker and Bowen. He’s never been on the track with that many cars at one time. He did so great! Papa, dad, and mom gave him some tips and he listened to all of them. He hit his marks every lap and was keeping up with those in front of him. With 2 laps to go there was a wreck between two other karts. He avoided and came to a stop. After that his engine wouldn’t fire back up so he didn’t get to finish the last two laps. But we were so proud of him! Gaining more confidence every time he’s out there!
