This is one of the challenges we face during extreme cold snaps.

When snow sits on a roof and the sun comes out, it melts just enough to run down toward the gutter. Unfortunately, the gutter itself stays frozen solid. That meltwater refreezes on contact and eventually locks everything in ice — gutters, clips, cords, and all.

Once this happens, there’s no safe way to remove or adjust anything without risking damage to your roof, gutters, or our equipment. These conditions don’t resolve until we see consistent warmer temperatures.

Due to extreme cold, we’ve paused takedowns today to keep our team safe and protect your property. With about 120 removals remaining, we’ll resume next week as temperatures allow. We may be working shorter days, but we’ll be pushing hard to get everyone taken care of as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience… we truly appreciate it.
