2023 14U Cincinnati Riverbats- Gilpin Private Tryout Registration The Cincinnati Riverbats- Gilpin will be holding private tryouts for current Open/ Major level players with a grad year of 2027. We will contact prospective players for private tryouts upon receiving and reviewing this completed form. Thank you for your interest!

As we close in on our last tournament of the season to say we are PROUD of this team is a huge understatement! This team was merged last July and currently have a 23-17-1 record playing the entire season at the Open/ Major tournament level throughout the Midwest and South. This team is made up of 13 young men from a 25 mile radius in the greater Cincinnati area. We have never brought in a single guest player, “ringer”, extra pitchers, etc. These dudes have WORKED, fought, and overcome adversity throughout the year. They are much more than teammates. They are friends and brothers that fight for each other. When they slump, make an error, or have a tough outing on the mound the others pick them up, and work to make something happen for the team. We are LOUD, AGGRESSIVE, and a TEAM!

Also, as a very important side note this team has done community service projects and the team average GPA is roughly 3.75 on the year!

I would be remiss If I didn’t mention our OUTSTANDING coaching and support staff that has worked tirelessly to support and develop these young men as strong players, teammates, and young men. The coaching staff has also assured that every player on our 13 man roster gets playing time in EVERY game! We just don’t believe that winning at 13 years old should mean sitting players on the bench for multiple games at a time. We compete against many “teams” that simply do not share this philosophy. Many “teams” we compete against bring in “guest players” AKA “ringers” to shore up their tournament rosters. Many choose that path because it makes winning much easier, but we just don’t believe that is a productive long term environment for development or TEAM. We will develop and play with OUR TEAM! We’ll do US!

Last but not least, a HUGE thank you goes out to our dedicated fans, parents, and families! Thank you for the opportunity, trust, support, and help you provide! We wouldn’t have this team without you!

Please arrive 15 minutes early with all necessary equipment. We are looking for a couple Open/ Major level team players with strong baseball skills, work ethic, and character.
