The wrong jig color can make a good spot feel empty. 👀
Before your first cast, check the water clarity and let it narrow down your choices.

Your football jig knot takes a beating around rock.
So tie one that protects the line where it matters most. 🪢
In this 1-Minute Jig Tip, we’re breaking down how to tie a knot that wraps the main line and helps protect it while you’re dragging a football jig across rock, gravel and hard bottom.
Strong. Simple. And built for the moment a big one eats and needs to come over the side of the boat. 💪🏼
Save this one and practice it before your next trip.

Your flipping setup should match the cover you’re throwing into.
Around docks, shallow wood and flooded cover, this is the setup we trust:
🎣 Medium-heavy rod — enough backbone to drive the hook and turn a big fish before it gets buried.
⚙️ Fast reel — picks up slack quickly after a pitch and helps you stay in control once that fish starts moving.
〰️ Fluorocarbon — run the heaviest line the water clarity and cover will let you get away with. You get abrasion resistance, low stretch and less visibility underwater.
You don’t need the heaviest setup possible.
You need enough power to get the fish out without sacrificing the ability to effectively fish the jig.
What rod, reel and line are you flipping with this season? 👇🏼
