I did a little bit of experimenting yesterday evening as the question of the day was asked earlier to me by another shooter: How do I improve my groups @ 25yds? I shoot really great groups at 7-10yds, but they go to crap at 25yds.
My reply is always this question: What is your idea of a great group @ 7yds?
So I decided to do a "shoot through" test to confirm exactly the level of accuracy needed at 7yds and what it equates to at 25yds.
I set up two targets, one in front of the other, shooting through the first target at 7yds and verifying the hits on the second target .
The 7yd group is 3/4" which results in a 25yd group of 2 5/8".
So the answer is this:
In order to shoot tight groups (3" or better) at 25yds, your group shooting better be nearly 1 ragged small hole at 7yds. #1911

I’d like to give a polite and considerate yet very big middle finger to the Missouri Public Service Commission, and by extension all those companies complying with thier push like Evergy, for caving to ill -advised and poorly conceived stopgap measures like this time-based energy scam they’re ramming down Missouri citizens’ throats in October.
This kind of racket should be illegal.
I bite my thumb at all of you involved in and complicit with mandating this for all. You should be removed from any semblance of authority immediately.

We love training, but our friend Tim is right on the money. It's he time you put in improving your proficiency with the skills we (or any of the other amazing instructors out there) can help you learn that really makes you better.
Just like honing any skill, repetition and practice are the keys to improvement and success.
