Double Tap Tactics & Training is proud to introduce MASTER DEFENDER — a Tactical Performance Shooting Competition coming Spring/Summer 2027.

🔥 SO WHAT EXACTLY IS MASTER DEFENDER?

This is not a competition built around simply standing on a firing line or moving to a designated shooting position to see who can shoot the fastest.

MASTER DEFENDER is designed to test the COMPLETE DEFENSIVE SHOOTER.

Competitors will be placed into realistic, problem-based shooting scenarios where accuracy and speed matter — but so do tactics, decision-making, movement, use of cover, firearm handling, and the ability to solve the problem under pressure.

Every mission is designed around one simple question:

CAN YOU APPLY YOUR SHOOTING SKILLS WHEN SHOOTING IS ONLY PART OF THE PROBLEM?

Speed matters.

Accuracy matters.

But neither one tells the whole story.

Competitors won't simply be chasing the fastest time. Your tactical decisions and performance matter too.

MASTER DEFENDER is being built for a wide range of responsibly armed individuals — from armed citizens and competitive shooters to security professionals, law enforcement, military personnel, and other armed professionals.

And here's something important:

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A PROFESSIONAL COMPETITION SHOOTER TO STEP ONTO THIS COURSE.

You need safe firearm-handling skills, the proper equipment, and the willingness to put your abilities to the test.

🏆 OUR GOAL IS BIGGER THAN DETERMINING WHO CAN SHOOT THE FASTEST.

We want every competitor to leave MASTER DEFENDER with more knowledge, more experience, and a better understanding of their own capabilities than they had when they arrived.
