POV: You accidentally became your child’s PE teacher… and now it’s your full-time personality 😂

Between relay races, obstacle courses, and “just one more game”… I’ve realized something:

Movement doesn’t have to be structured to matter.
It’s messy. It’s loud. It’s not always a perfect workout.
But it’s connection. It’s laughter. It’s memories being built in real time.
And honestly?
They’re not the only ones benefiting.
I’m moving more.
I’m laughing more.
I’m letting go of the idea that fitness has to look a certain way.
Some days I’m the coach.
Some days I’m the PE teacher.
Most days I’m just trying to keep up.
But, I’m showing them that moving your body is something you GET to do — not something you have to do.

And that might be the most important lesson of all 💛

Let's talk about this little gym buddy of mine... This is your at home version of a landmine that you would find in a gym. It's cheap and small and versatile!! Here are some benefits of the landmine:

1. Joint-friendly, natural arc — The rotating base creates a curved bar path that’s easier on the shoulders, wrists, and lower back than some straight-bar lifts.

2. Versatile whole-body tool — Great for pressing, rowing, rotation, lunging, squatting and pressing patterns — so one setup gives you dozens of exercises.

3. Excellent for anti-rotation & core — Landmine chops, twists, and presses force you to resist rotation and build core stability under load.

4. Builds unilateral strength & balance — Single-arm landmine moves (presses, rows, squats) help fix imbalances and improve stability.

5. Power & explosive training friendly — Rotational throws, landmine rows to jump, or explosive presses translate well to sport-specific power.

6. Progression-friendly for beginners — The bar’s angle and the ability to load one end make it easy to scale intensity (lighter load, different stance/lever).

7. Safer pressing alternative — Landmine press can be a good step between dumbbells and barbell overhead press for people with mobility limits.
