If you struggle with pulls and fades this means you have a club path that can get too far left for a right handed player and a club face that can tend to get too open

You likely experience the PULLS being a STRONGER ball flight that feels solid and travels farther.

Those are the ones where your club path is still to the left but you managed to square the club face enough

On the opposite end of the spectrum you likely get some weak fades to the right.

On those your club path was very likely still too far left but you didn’t manage to close the club face. And that gap between your club path and club face lead to the weak curve to the right

Obviously there are several reasons WHY you might do this so always best to find WHY with good coach or swing coach app

One thing to look at is your trail shoulder motions

If you swing over the top and hit those pulls and fades your trial shoulder likely going too far OUT toward the ball and forward toward target

Instead you want to FEEL like your trail shoulder stays more BACK (away from the ball) as you swing lead arm and club more to the right

Remember this is just a FEEEEEEEL to help you fix your issues

The more the shoulder stays back the more you can swing from inside vs over the top

1. Trail shoulder back
2. Feel lead arm and club swinging more to the right. Notice my club head gets to the right of the ball target line (stick on ground)

Again this is a FEEL to fix your left path—it won’t actually go that far right when you actually hit

3. Add some normal arm rotation (lead arm supination/trail arm pronation) to close the face. Feel the toe getting slightly in front of the heel here. Feel more of this if ball still curving right and less of it starts hooking too much left.

This is a nice place to start.
