Meet K9 Marlin… a Golden Retriever who’s afraid of the water. 🐟😂
With a name like Marlin, we had to change that.
Today was all about building confidence. We started with the pool’s sun shelf, allowing for an easy transition into the water while trying to keep the pressure low.
We do not recommend forcing dogs into the water. We always begin with patience and positive experiences. But when a dog has had plenty of time and still won’t take that next step, fair, controlled pressure from an experienced trainer can help them realize the water isn’t so scary after all.
Confidence is built by working through challenges—not avoiding them.
We’ll keep working with K9 Marlin until the dog named after a fish finally starts acting like one. 🐟💪
