12,000+ men have held an ATP ranking since 1973.

Only 29 have reached World No. 1.

And only ONE has spent 400+ weeks at the top. 🐐
The math behind elite longevity is wild:

🎾 Top 100: Top 8%
🎾 Top 10: Top 1.5%
🎾 World No. 1: Top 0.24%
🎾 428 Weeks at No. 1: 0.008%

Consistency at the absolute summit isn’t just rare—it’s a statistical anomaly.

Aryna Sabalenka needed just 53 minutes to see off Polina Iatcenko, and Jessica Pegula was almost as quick past Sofia Kenin in an all-American second-rounder. The day’s biggest shake-up came off the delayed Round 1 slate: Paula Badosa knocked out No. 30 seed Jelena Ostapenko in straight sets. Wimbledon champ Linda Nosková and No. 7 seed Karolina Muchová both moved on comfortably, keeping the bottom half of the draw wide open.

21 matches, no suspensions — the tournament is fully caught up after the early rain delays.

Day 4 was a big one at Flushing Meadows. 🎾

The tournament caught up on its full Wednesday slate — 25 men’s matches, mixing Round 2 with delayed first-rounders held over from the rain. Alex Michelsen pulled off the day’s biggest upset, taking down No. 16 seed Brandon Nakashima in straight sets. Defending champ Carlos Alcaraz survived an early scare before finding his rhythm, and Frances Tiafoe kept rolling with a three-set win over Rei Sakamoto.

No suspensions, no leftover matches heading into Thursday — the draw is officially back on schedule.

Rain writes its own storylines. ⛈️🎾

Putintseva shocks No. 12 Bencic. Gauff, Rybakina and Andreeva cruise through. And in the day’s cruelest twist, Paula Badosa gets suspended two points from victory — serving at 6-1, 5-4, after saving three match points against her.

15 matches finished. 5 more hanging in the rain. Round 1 refuses to end.

One of his favorite 3-player drills 🎾
With Fede Boscarino

One player works on mobility, footwork & changing direction while the other two focus on consistency and control.

2 crosscourt + 1 down the line = a lot of movement and a lot of reps 🔥

What other 3-player drills should I try?
