🚨LOAD PROGRESSION IS NOT ONLY ABOUT THE WEIGHTS‼️

The vast majority think that progressing load in weight training is only about increasing the weight each training session.

These people ignore other variables and think that load progression (weight) is endless. They don’t understand that all progression has a limit. That’s why we have to manipulate training variables to maintain progression in all aspects.

In load progression, we can increase the weight, range of motion, number of exercises, repetitions, sets, cadence, training frequency, training density, and recovery between sets. All of this is part of load progression.

For example, if you use a weight and fail at 12 repetitions, but in a couple of weeks, you can perform 15 repetitions with the same weight, that is already load progression.

If you squat with a weight and your range of motion only reaches 80°, but in a month, you can squat deeper with the same weight, that is also load progression.

If you only do 3 sets of squats, but in a month, you can do 5 sets, that is also load progression.

This is just a summary to affirm that progressing load is not just about increasing the weight.

In fact, you can even decrease the weight and still progress in training load at the same time.
