It’s important to know which direction to hit and how high to send the ball when playing a forehand from the ad-side corner. Because choosing the right direction you can maintain control of the court. If you choose the wrong one, a good player will likely put you on the defensive.🎾

Getting underneath the ball helps you create both height and spin. Using your forearm to get under it is key.🎾

This drill teaches a player how to bend her knees and get properly behind the ball. She approaches the basketball on her backhand side, sets her feet low, and gently places her knee onto the ball. This helps her feel the correct leg position, stay balanced, and use her lower body properly. The same drill works for both backhands and forehands.🎾🎾🎾

A great drill for working on an open racket face for the slice, backhand volley, and drop shot. The goal is to create backspin and control the height of the ball. Make sure the racket face is open before contact and remains open through the finish.🎾🎾🎾
