Catch more fish in the middle part of the day. Days are getting longer and hotter. This will mean fish activity becomes increasingly concentrated on morning and evenings. In the middle and hottest parts of the day find pockets like this and you can still find feeding trout.
Streamer tip: When you’re casting upstream you can really crank your fly on the retrieve to keep motion and trigger a reaction strike from a trout waiting to ambush. It’s not a bad idea to try to slower or even dead drift at times but often we notice people new to streamer fishing are afraid to get the fly really moving on those upstream drifts.
