All bo MISSION/VISION

More than a studio. We lead with integrity.

We are a community that includes of all kinds of “polers”; the athletic, the sexy, the st*****rs, the artists

We believe everyone has the capability to benefit from the exploration of pole dance and sensual movement. The #APDcrew affirms all body types, genders, backgrounds, and levels of dance experience. There are no weight limits, or expectations that each individual body will perform the same

It's time for a lil supportive, sl*tty speakeasy 🔥

Members and their guests only 🤫

Not a member yet? Reach out to your friends who are to get an es**rt for the night 😘

***These events are member socials to build community, as well as raise funding for efforts that support our community, mutual aid, or local orgs doing good work. The focus will change each time based on need.

This first month, we are using funds to help members pay for CPR/AED/First Aid training so we can all be more responsive in our communities, especially when it's ICY out...

A message from Kate regarding I C E, community, and safety.

Hi friends,

One of my favorite things about our studio community is the kindness and empathy of every single member who chooses to be part of it. I feel so lucky anytime I get to interact with you all, and am so proud of the people we are. And because so many of us feel so much for other humans, it means many of us have been feeling A LOT for the humans being kidnapped and murdered and injured by dangerous I C E officers. I know many of you also feel lost or unsure what you can do to make a difference and help others.

It’s no secret that we are in a very scary timeline in the country we live in. While our community is not experiencing what our fellow humans in Minnesota are, I want to be very proactive about having a studio safety plan in place, as well as an outlet/semi-organized group of studio members who are willing to protect and help others in our community.

I also want to make the studio a safe place to find camaraderie and make space where you can escape the outside world for an hour or two and allow your nervous system to reset before heading back out into the world.

So today, in our private members communication app, we started organizing human power for us all to work together if/when anyone in our studio or larger local community needs support relating to ICE. We’ll be prepared and ready to intervene, record, and share support resources and be supportive peers to anyone impacted by this.

If you need the studio to primarily be your escape, take care of yourself. Those of you who feel called to do more, please join in local support and organize so we can be stronger as we resist.

WE CALL ALL LOCAL BUSINESSES to have a safety plan in place for if your employees, clients, and/or customers are targeted by I C E when at your place of business. We encourage all to make your networks tighter and ready to help your neighbors.

I’ll share some of what we are doing, and will start doing as a business and membership community, in case it resonates with you for your business:

(1) Sharing resources, such as community meeting dates, local initiatives, or local services we can share with others who may need them
(2) Making plans to attend organized events in groups for safety
(3) Have a place where we can post/rally if we need to go help a community member quickly if they are in danger, be it I C E or local supporters of I C E.
(4) In the horrible scenario of a community member having a friend or family member kidnapped or injured by I C E, be able to support that person and their family by acting as a peer support to help connect them to resources, be a person to lean on, and do things they may not have the capacity to do in a heightened emotional state - help calling family members, help finding where a kidnapped person may have been taken, and the like.

While there will be no immediate changes to the studio day-to-day at this time, we will be ready to make changes when/if needed. These may include:

*Locking the studio door when a class begins until class is dismissed
*Staff response plan in the case of non-students entering the studio

This isn’t about political parties (I know you all know that already). I feel strongly that we have the power to make change for good if we are focused and supportive of each other in this horrific time. I also believe that building stronger relationships among us will help us stay a little more mentally healthy and less alone.

I truly mean it when I tell y'all I love you. Stay safe, care for each other, and breathe. We can do this together.

Sincerely,
–Kate

Small business saturday is on! Link in b!0 😘

11/27/2025

We all love a good meal, time with loved ones, and cozy holiday gatherings; we also hope our culture can recognize and start to repair the harms colonizers brought upon the native people of this land. Can we change the narrative taught to children? Can we raise native voices? Can we learn our real history and be humbled?

And as always - APD will be a weight- and food-neutral space. You don't need to buy into the need to "earn" a meal you enjoy or consider moving your body in any way a "punishment" for eating.

That said, we truly hope you enjoy this day, with those you choose 💙
