Parking lot work near the dam continues tomorrow, with crackfill occurring at Turner Gulch, Middle Cove, and Barclay Bay. Next week, fresh sealcoat and striping begins. While these areas need more help in total than this work will address, crackfilling and sealcoats are very important measures to prolong the useful life of asphalt at these heavily used recreation areas.

IDPR Spring Shores Marina remains conveniently open and available for use throughout this impact schedule.

By holding back releases from upstream Anderson Ranch and Arrowrock, which have supplied irrigation water so far this season, it now becomes Lucky Peak's turn to supply irrigation demand. On balance of lesser inflows and steady outflows from Lucky Peak, the pool will begin to drop about 1-2 feet per day starting August 10th.

It’s a busy day at The Peak!

Two things:

Barclay Bay is closed for setting up this Saturday’s event. Shortly, both Barclay and Turner (everything beyond the Spillway, that is) will be closed to all public access until the event concludes Saturday around 10AM at the earliest.

Additionally, this morning, Scooper planes will we using the lake in support of the Claremont Fire. Please stay clear of the center of the lake between Charcoal Flat and the dam, which is their primary lane for skimming and loading up water.

EDIT 7/15: In error, Barclay Bay was previously noted to open around 10AM Saturday. Given the extensive equipment tear down required, Barclay will open in early afternoon once equipment can be reasonably moved aside. The image has been updated to reflect this.

Take a moment to share your opinion with local emergency management officials - fire, flood, earthquake, and more - what emergencies concern you most?

Ada County is working with community members to be better prepared for natural hazards or dangers like floods, wildfires, landslides, earthquakes, and storms by updating the Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan will look at natural hazards and vulnerabilities, determine what is at risk, and find ways to reduce or eliminate future problems from those hazards.
This survey gives you a chance to share your thoughts and be part of the mitigation planning process. The information you provide will help us better understand your concerns and may lead to actions that lower your chances of getting hurt, losing important services, or having damage to buildings because of a natural disaster in the future.
This survey will take about 5 minutes to complete. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/AdaCountyMHMP
