Dear Friends,
Thank you, once again, for being patient with us as we push forward in this year of transition. We are thankful for the support of our community.
We are looking forward to exciting changes ahead in this new year and would like to let you know about a few recent developments.
We are closer than ever to a space of our own, and we hope to begin renovations to install a sprung dance floor and create a full time dance studio!
This wonderful news has come just in time, as our temporary lease with Foothills School has ended. Because we will need time to renovate our new space, Balance classes will go on a brief hiatus for the spring months. We deeply apologize for the late notice, we were holding out hope that we might have an alternative space to continue classes, but all of our options have dried up at this point in time. We are remaining optimistic, and believe that this will allow us to pool our resources entirely into creating the new space. This was a very difficult decision, because we know that dance at Balance plays a very important role in all of our lives, however we feel that this is the best thing for the overall health of the organization of Balance.
We hope that you will continue to be a part of the Balance community in the interim. We will be needing a legion of volunteers to help make our dream of a permanent space a reality. Please let Artistic Director Leah Clark know if you have special skills in building, plumbing, painting or just want to help ([email protected]). We will graciously accept your generosity.
Our goal is to have space for summer classes and workshops and we will keep you posted about developments on the space as they arise.
Thank you, as always, for your kindness and love-- we are so excited to step into this new phase of Balance with you.
All good things,
Balance Dance Company

What a beautiful article this is. Dance is much more than merely learning movement... it cultivates resilience, friendships, and gives us opportunities to think & create. We feel lucky to be able to share dance with you!
