From art to drama, dance classes to fitness programs, educational nature tours to sports leagues, there’s something for everyone in our recreation programming. This year, we offered over 4,000 individual activities across three activity guides. Our team works hard to create affordable and accessible activities where everyone belongs - thank you for joining us this year, and into 2025!

This weekend, we hosted the local Boise Bombers Wheelchair Rugby Team to face off Boise United Rugby Community and Treasure Valley Roller Derby for the 12th annual Toys for Tots Wheelchair Rugby Bash. The Boise Bombers pulled out the win, not for a lack of exciting competition from both teams.

Come pickle with us during drop-in play at Fort Boise Community Center. Offered Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, drop-in hours are a great way to practice, build new skills and have fun with teammates.

Our recreation team would like to invite teens and their community allies to a roundtable discussion about how to best direct the resources we dedicate to teen programming. Join us for free tacos and help shape future programming for teens!

FREE Adaptive Bike Fair this Saturday! Try out a variety of adaptive cycles from handcycles to tandem trikes, recumbent trikes and more!
Date: Saturday, May 18
Time: Drop-In from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Location: Fort Boise Community Center (700 Robbins Rd Boise)
Cost: Free
You will have the opportunity to try upright and recumbent handcycles, trikes, recumbent trikes, tandem bikes and trikes. This is a great time to learn about adaptive cycles and discover what type works for you.
Pre-registration is not required, drop in between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to try the cycles. All ages and ability levels are welcome; youth under age 18 must attend with an adult. Call 208-608-7680 or visit www.cityofboise.org/Adaptive-Recreation to learn more.

Join us for a pottery and art sale tomorrow (Friday, May 3) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Fort Boise Community Center (700 Robbins Road). Featuring a wide variety of pottery and artwork by instructors and students of Fort Boise Community Center. The talent of these local artists is truly incredible!

Open Gym for youth basketball play is being offered at two schools this Saturday:
🏀Roosevelt Elementary School from 8 to 11:30 a.m.
🏀North Junior High from 9 a.m. to noon.

Open Gym is free and available to all kids under 18.
