Cherokee Landing We are a small float outfitter and campground located on big river near Bonne Terre, MO. We have canoes, kayaks, rafts, and tubes available for rent.

We have primitive and RV sites as well.

Big river at Cherokee Landing.We were fortunate the high rainfall amounts didn't hit our area this time,campground never went under.The river is currently is at 6ft on our guage from upstream flow.This is the maximum height rafts are allowed to go out,canoes and kayaks 4 ft or lower.There is a possibility of floating tomorrow,dependant on rainfall today.

Our floaters had some good water levels today from the rains, wasn't super clear due to rain influx ,but not muddy.

Cherokee Landing is trying to get back in operation this year,after being mostly closed down last year due to bridge construction and road relocations.Currenty we can only offer primitive camping for our floaters,no water or electric.We will have portable toilets for use.The campground renovations will continue throughout this season.Float trips will be back to normal schedule.We hope to see everyone we missed last year soon!

The Berry Rd Bridge replacement/ Turkey Creek Rd relocation is now open for traffic.Cherokee Landing now has a long road ahead of it to try to get the mess left delt with and attempt to rebuild and get open next season.The 2025 season was mostly lost due to the construction.We are currently looking at ideas to raise money to rebuild.
