Saturday mornings at 6SU are already a favorite. This one's going to be a little different. 💪

On August 22 at 10:30 AM, we're hosting a free strongman workout + info session - led by Josh Marker, Maggie Mollenhauer, and Frank Mirano of Ames Fitness.

And honestly? You don't have to lift a thing to come. Bring a friend. Come watch people try something brand new, cheer them on, and see what all the strongman hype is about.

It's also a sneak peek at APEX Fest - their strength games coming to Ames on September 19, with vendors, food trucks, childcare, and a charity bench press, free to the whole community. Consider this your backstage pass.

Whether you're in the workout or on the sideline, it's the same energy: people showing up for themselves - and for each other. That's what we do best. ♥️🖤

It demands respect. Stay consistent. Do the tough thing, even when you don't feel like it, and the results will come.

It teaches you self-love. How to face adversity, overcome challenges, and stay disciplined when quitting would be easier.

The way you show up here is the way you show up everywhere — at home, at work, in your own head.

That's what makes this place valuable. It's not about the calorie burn. It's where you get to practice becoming the person you want to be.

The best part of this photo isn't that someone came to the gym.

It's that she didn't feel like she had to wait until she could work out again to come back.

She came to catch up with friends, introduce her new baby, and simply be here.

That's what we hope Sixth Street Underground will always be—a place where people belong.

Fitness brought us together.
