Are you a motivated leader who enjoys working alongside your team, solving challenges, and delivering exceptional guest experiences? Seven Oaks Recreation is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee multiple departments and play a key role in the continued success of one of Iowa’s premier outdoor recreation destinations.

Key Responsibilities
✅ Lead and manage operations for Rentals, Snow Tubing, Lessons & Instructors, Lift Attendants, Paintball, and River Activities
✅ Recruit, train, schedule, mentor, and develop team members
✅ Provide hands-on leadership and operational support when needed
✅ Ensure safe, efficient, and guest-focused experiences across all departments
✅ Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and operational improvements
✅ Oversee staffing, inventory, equipment maintenance, and daily operations

Qualifications
✔ Minimum of 5 years of management and leadership experience
✔ Strong communication, team-building, and problem-solving skills
✔ Proven ability to lead large teams and oversee multiple departments
✔ Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak seasonal periods as needed
✔ Valid driver’s license required (CDL with passenger endorsement preferred or willingness to obtain)
✔ Passion for outdoor recreation and thriving in a fast-paced environment

Looking for a summer job that gets you outdoors instead of stuck inside? Seven Oaks Recreation is hiring River Float Staff (18+) to help create great experiences for our guests on the Des Moines River!

Position Details

💲 $16–$17/hour (based on availability and experience)
📍 Outdoor, riverfront work environment
📅 Must be available weekends and holidays

Responsibilities
Transport canoes, kayaks, and river tubes to and from launch and pickup locations
Assist guests with launching and exiting the river
Provide excellent customer service and river safety information
Safely handle equipment and maintain transportation schedules
Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements

✅ Must be 18 years of age or older
✅ Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
✅ Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
✅ Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
✅ Dependable and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
