The Hound Ears Women’s Golf Association (HEWGA) 2026 season is off to a roaring start! Opening Day was a wonderful success—thank you to our incredible Golf and Dining teams for making it all happen, and to the weather for showing up right on cue. ☀️ And, a special thank you to Phyllis Weston, our HEWGA President, for her leadership and dedication along with all of our officers and committee chairs in kicking off such a fantastic start to the season! 💚

What a fun night at *Sail into Summer* this last weekend! ☀️⛵ As one of our first Clubhouse-wide events of the season, it was a fantastic kickoff, filled with great company, lively music, and delicious beer samples from Kettell Beerworks and Lost Province.

Members embraced the “Yacht Rock” theme, showing off their best sailor hats, captain’s looks, and fun cruise wear, bringing the perfect laid-back coastal vibe to the Clubhouse.

Guests enjoyed a delicious buffet prepared by our Hound Ears culinary team, danced the night away with music by DJ Karl, and sampled the complimentary beer tastings. The BE Scooped ice cream truck added a sweet touch to the evening, serving up treats before and after dinner.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a memorable start to the season!

Rain may have cut the round short, but it couldn’t dampen the spirit of our Crazy Cobb Cowboy-Style Tournament! 🤠⛳️

From the course to the HEC “OK Corral,” it was a fantastic day filled with laughter, western flair, and true cowboy camaraderie. The dinner celebration brought everyone together for a rootin’-tootin’ good time!

A huge thank you to our Golf Staff for pulling off the scramble, our incredible Dining Team, and Rene & Mike Miller for their creativity in bringing this outlaw-themed event to life.

An evening of exceptional wine and expert insight! Thank you to Mateo from Tenuta Torciano Winery for an unforgettable wine school experience. From tasting techniques to the subtle art of savoring each glass, it was a truly wonderful event.

It was a privilege to partner with the team at to bring some major upgrades to their facilities! Our goal was to ensure the staff has the best tools available and the guests have an even more seamless experience.

Here is a look at what we’ve been up to:

🍳 Culinary Upgrades: We overhauled the commercial kitchen with new features, updated venthoods, and added a brand-new walk-in cooler to help their kitchen team stay ahead of the rush.

🍻 Bar Refinements: We updated two bar areas with precision lighting, new taps, and additional refrigeration to keep the atmosphere—and the drinks—at their best.

🏗️ Exterior Enhancements: Outside, we focused on longevity and safety by repairing the retaining wall and completely widening and rebuilding the exterior stairwell.

We are proud to support a club that does so much for its community. We can’t wait to see the staff and members enjoy these refreshed spaces!

🐴Derby Day at Hound Ears was nothing short of spectacular. 🐴

Members embraced the spirit of the 2026 Kentucky Derby in style!

Guests enjoyed refreshing mint juleps, sampled Derby-inspired bites, and gathered together to watch the most exciting "two minutes in sports" unfold on the big screen.

A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so memorable. Congratulations to Lisa Young for earning the "Best Hat" honor & William Pleasant and Lydia Hines for "Best Dressed" honors, we look forward to doing it all again next year.

Thank you once again to all of our resident volunteers who provided a lovely lunch to thank our employees today! We appreciated it and we appreciate you! 🥰

Opening weekend of the season has officially begun! From daring drives on the course to delicious dinners with great company, it’s the perfect start to what’s sure to be an unforgettable season. ⛳🍽️ Cheers to many more moments like these!
