Watauga County Parks and Recreation is currently hiring Basketball Referees for the upcoming youth and adult basketball seasons. Officials should have basketball experience and knowledge - officiating experience is preferred, but not required. The leagues begin in early November and conclude in March. We offer a flexible work schedule and a rewarding work environment. All games are played locally - most games are played at the Watauga Community Recreation Center in Boone. Officials must have reliable transportation, work well with children and adults, be able to maintain control of the game and must pass a background check. Training through WCP&R is required to any official who is not currently NFHS Certified. For more information, contact Watauga County Parks and Recreation at 828-264-9511 or at [email protected].
