New Trike Day for Anita! 🚲💙👍

Just look at that thumbs-up! Anita is ready to enjoy some miles on her new Miami Sun Traditional 24” 7-Speed Trike.

With three-wheel stability, a comfortable upright riding position, seven speeds, and plenty of cargo space in the rear basket, this is all about making it easier and more enjoyable to get outside and keep moving.

Thank you, Anita, for choosing Flugers Outdoors! Seeing that smile is exactly why we love what we do. Enjoy the new ride and all the adventures ahead! 🙌

New adventures. New memories.

Synergen Construction has officially started work on the haul road for the lake deepening project. To keep everyone safe, several trail areas and crossings are currently closed. All areas highlighted in red on the map below are the closed trails and areas.

Safety fencing is up around the closed zones—please respect the barriers and do not attempt to bypass them. Here is what you need to know to plan your next ride or hike:

Singletrack Access: Radio Waves, Baseline, Ridgeline, and all other singletrack trails in the south and east quadrants of the park cannot be accessed from Green Goblin. To get to them, take Soda Lake Loop to Mid Valley Pipeline, and access the singletrack from there.

Green Goblin: The Green Goblin Loop is cut short and will require a detour.

Soda Lake Loop: The crossing at Kennonwood Trace (formerly Winding Ridge Road) is closed. Because of this, Soda Lake Loop is temporarily an out-and-back trail, not a full loop. The north end of Kennonwood Trace is also closed.

The Good News: We hope to open these trails on weekends when the contractors are off-site.

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as we work through these improvements! Stay safe out there, and check back here for updates. 🚴‍♂️🏃‍♀️

🚴 Love to ride? Looking for a local cycling community?

Our friends with Team LaS'port are building a great cycling community right here in the Shreveport-Bossier area, and we’d love to see more local riders get involved!

Whether you enjoy group rides, meeting other cyclists, pushing yourself with time trials, or simply want to support and grow cycling in our area, Team LaSport is a great group to be part of.

For $50 annually, membership includes group rides, team events and socials, sponsor discounts, member perks, and—most importantly—a supportive local cycling community.

At Flugers Bicycle & Outdoors – Bossier, we believe the stronger our local cycling community becomes, the better it is for everyone. More riders. More events. More friendships. More people on bikes. 🚲

👉 Check out Team LaSport, become a member, and help us continue growing cycling in Northwest Louisiana!
