He showed up and solidified his elite status in the sport. Later that day, he went on to almost break the Light Weight for Distance world record, coached by and in presence of fellow Pro competitor and current world record holder . A mighty day among the Giants of the Highland Games.

Listening to the latest episode of with , this story popped up regarding past and epic moments in the Games; particularly big Games that matter to the Pros.

It got us thinking about HG moments, all the ones that go unseen. This one went relatively unseen because the crowd was so far away. But we knew where to be, and where to be with a camera. Because, as was mentioned in the podcast, it’s the context and the visceral, up close and personal moments that make Highland Games so powerful. And timeless. Now with technology, we can capture these moments, and help tell their story. Because stories like this matter. Often the stories are what keep us alive.

We were very honored to be a part of last year’s Men’s World Championships, and a big part. In regards to that episode, where hammers were thrown also wasn’t on our bingo card nor in our control. We also weren’t in charge of invites -besides advocating for one specifically. More importantly, we are glad we were there, up front and center, for this moment.
