🚨 World Record Alert 🚨

On June 13, 2026 smashed the Men’s Pro Open Stone world record at our Celtic Strength World Championships. Open Stone event in the Highland Games is essentially Shot Put but with a natural stone; some would say “the old way”.

comes from a line of HG royalty and the whole community was anticipating his performance at the Celtic Strength World Championships on June 13th. He showed up and solidified his elite status in the sport. Later that day, he went on to almost break the Light Weight for Distance world record, coached by and in presence of fellow Pro competitor and current world record holder . A mighty day among the Giants of the Highland Games.

It is said that big throws are a certainty at . This one takes the cake for 2026. Big respect to and looking forward to his bright bright future in the sport.

And perhaps videography like this - huge thanks to and - shows how professional sport media worthy this sport is. *ahem etc. etc.

Listening to the latest episode of with , this story popped up regarding past and epic moments in the Games; particularly big Games that matter to the Pros.

It got us thinking about HG moments, all the ones that go unseen. This one went relatively unseen because the crowd was so far away. But we knew where to be, and where to be with a camera. Because, as was mentioned in the podcast, it’s the context and the visceral, up close and personal moments that make Highland Games so powerful. And timeless. Now with technology, we can capture these moments, and help tell their story. Because stories like this matter. Often the stories are what keep us alive.

deserves all the credit for this moment. It was vital because of how the overall standings and the pressure at this moment was forcing Kyle to either back down or step up. Captured here is the moment he decided not to back down. He decided to take control. To push further. He won the event with this throw.

We were very honored to be a part of last year’s Men’s World Championships, and a big part. In regards to that episode, where hammers were thrown also wasn’t on our bingo card nor in our control. We also weren’t in charge of invites -besides advocating for one specifically. More importantly, we are glad we were there, up front and center, for this moment. Because as Spencer said, it was glorious. And it deserves to be known.

The Stone Man’s Stone - Clach Fear Alba 🪨 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This year decided to send a piece of his heart to the USA: a stone he found back in 2011. This was the stone he used to train with before lifting the legendary Inver Stone, and meeting the man who would become his mentor, Peter Martin.

Clocking in at 121kg / 266 lbs, this project bridges a physical piece of the Scottish Motherland with the Scottish & Celtic diaspora here in the USA. It is a piece of the Motherland that people can come to, connect with, and remember their strength. Strength in all the forms it can take, not just physical.

This stone does not belong to , and resides with its current guardian .joshua . It is available to Scottish Highland Games and Celtic Festivals in the Northeast, as well as all of the USA. Want it to be part of your festival? Please contact us. 👈

We would like to take a moment to say thank you to all those who donated to the GoFundMe created for the $2k shipping costs. There were some real strength legends from around the world who donated, so, thank you for being a part of this historic story.

Has a lifting stone with this purpose ever been shipped to the USA from Scotland before? The only other lifting stone we’ve ever heard of being send to the USA is An Cloch Bán we worked with last year to send from David’s home in the Copper Coast of Ireland to Boston. has been truly awesome to work with these past two years for these projects! Thank you is not enough! 🙏

If you need more context for why all this matters, pls go watch these documentaries:

Posted here is its journey over the years. With some humor. Thank you for reading. Thank you for participating. We had an incredible day June 13th. Dozens of successful lifts took place at the inauguration. A beautiful start to its new chapter on US soil.

Thank you for being a part of this story.

Happy 250 to the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.

Researching the involvement of and part that the Celtic nations diaspora played in not just the founding of the United States of America, but beforehand and after, is worth the time. 💪🇺🇸

May this year and the next 250 after this be ones of unity, peace, inclusivity, equality, and fighting to maintain the good freedoms and purpose that this nation was founded upon. We are committed to doing our part in that. 🙏🇺🇸

History was made on June 13 at the Celtic Strength Championships.

Athletes, warriors, historians, professors, poets, and martial artists traveled from overseas and across North America to take part in an unprecedented celebration of Celtic strength, culture, and combat traditions.

🔥 The FIRST-EVER North American Backhold Wrestling Championship
🔥 The FIRST Irish Collar & Elbow Northeast Championship in over 100 years
🔥 Bare Knuckle Boxing
🔥 Catch Wrestling
🔥 Bataireacht Irish Stick Fighting
🔥 Educational lectures preserving our Celtic heritage

The level of talent, passion, and intensity was extraordinary. Competitors brought their A-game, battled with honor, and helped revive martial traditions that have shaped generations of warriors. What we witnessed wasn’t just competition—it was the beginning of a movement.
We are proud to be helping lead the resurgence of Celtic martial arts and traditional combat sports, preserving these incredible disciplines while introducing them to a new generation. The energy was electric, the performances were world-class, and this is only the beginning.

The Celtic warrior spirit is alive and well. The beacons are lit for other Celtic Festivals and Highland Games to heed the call and keep this Celtic fire across North America.

⚔️ Slàinte agus grá mór to every athlete, coach, volunteer, clan, sponsor, and supporter who helped make this historic weekend possible.
