Cambridge Masters recently brought together alumni and current swimmers for a fun weekend practice at Harvard’s Blodgett Pool—a great reminder that the friendships last just as long as the memories.

This summer, members of Boston Lanes traveled all the way to Valencia, Spain, to compete in the Gay Games XII, joining thousands of athletes from around the globe in a week that celebrated competition, community, and inclusion.

Congratulations to the entire Boston Lanes team on an incredible international experience. Thank you for representing New England so well—we’re proud to have you as part of our LMSC community. 💙

The July Summer Sprints proved that an hour is all you need for some fast racing, plenty of laughs, and a few s’mores around the fire to wrap up the evening. Huge thanks to Chris Payson and Shamrock Swim Club for hosting a great summer night in Milton.

Our next stop in the New England Open Water Series is Miles for Michelle on Saturday, July 25 at beautiful Fort Pond in Lancaster, MA. Choose from a ½-mile or 1-mile swim, then stick around for a fun morning with the open water community, great raffle prizes, and plenty of smiles on shore and in the water.

Whether you’re chasing the open water series prize hat, tackling your first open water event, or just looking for another excuse to swim in a beautiful lake, this is a fantastic event you won’t want to miss.

The Jenny Thompson Meet will not be held this summer.

While we’re disappointed that circumstances didn’t come together in time to host one of New England’s favorite summer meets, Great Bay Masters hopes to bring the event back next year.

The good news? There are still plenty of opportunities to race, challenge yourself, and connect with fellow swimmers throughout the season. Be sure to check out the NELMSC event calendar for upcoming pool and open water events.

Looking for a fast, fun, low-pressure racing opportunity? Consider the July Summer Sprint Meet on July 16 and the August Summer Sprint Meet on August 13, both hosted on Thursday evenings in Milton. These sprint-focused meets are perfect for shaking off the rust, trying something new, or tuning up for a big event.

Whether you’re headed to Swim With A Mission, Glen Lake Swim, Summer Nationals, or one of the many other events on the calendar, we hope to see you on deck or in the water this summer.
