Treats at the end of long days facilitating Lessac Kinesensics in Boston. Such a blessing to work with the exceptional vocal pedagogy cohort at this past weekend. The delights of my job. And the reward of a bevy and a book afterwards are sweet. Feeling grateful for what i do and who i get to share it with.
Tune in to your body. Take a breath. Soften your shoulders. Open your chest. Help your body to feel safe even when chaos Is all around you.
If you are on stage for any reason, your job is to give. To commune with your audience. To build a relationship and to share your gifts. Don’t get distracted by accolades and applause, remember why you’re there.
Day 5
One of the most difficult roles i have played, maybe one day i will play it again.
This moment in the play is a challenge. So many things swirling together for Prospero in this moment. Kind of like life right now… probably why I’ve been thinking of these lines so much this week.
What’s so great about Shakespeare? In times of chaos it’s helpful to regroup via things that feel like home to you, things that light up your inner environment. Shakespeare’s is one of those things for me. What’s yours?

One of my favorite characters i have ever played. I played her at Acting school .ecu and again professionally with I would play her forever if i could. Sometimes you just find a character that you feel like nobody connects with or understand like you do. Helena is one of them for me.
