ESPN, other wrestling sites and Ric Flair himself have posted on social media today that on Sunday, July 31st, from the Nashville Fairgrounds, that the Nature Boy will “walk that aisle” one last time. The event is being billed under the banner of Jim Crockett Promotions.

At this point, no one is sure if this will be a singles match, or a tag team match. First rumored that Flair would team with FTR against the Rock n’ Roll Express and a partner of their choosing, but nothing has been made official. So if this is a one time, final farewell to the legendary Ric Flair, not a prolonged in ring return as previously thought, maybe with a few spots for nostalgia, do you still want to see Naitch in the ring one more time ? Or is it time for Ric to step away for his health and safety?

Ric has always said that he didn’t want to retire back in 2008, it was Vince McMahon’s forcing him to step away after his loss to Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24. His TNA matches were good for nostalgia, but he has not competed in over a decade.
