Today, April 14, is Giving Day at Northeastern! Over the past several years, our team has gone through unprecedented growth, which could not have been accomplished without the generous support of our community and network. With this continuous growth comes increased expenses including horse care, transportation, and competition fees, all of which make donor support even more important than ever.
Our team has been thriving in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA), consistently earning champion and reserve champion titles at the majority of our season shows. Last spring we reached a historic milestone: for the first time in program history, we qualified for IHSA Nationals as a team and finished in the top 10 in the country.
Alongside this achievement, we continue to send individual riders to Regional, Zone, and National finals, further showcasing the depth of talent and dedication within our team. Competing on the national stage represents the culmination of years of hard work, and we are eager to build on this momentum in the seasons ahead.

Yay! Our Huskies had a great time at zones! Zone finals were a smashing success for Wynni Huckaby. She will be making the voyage to NC in May to compete in the Intermediate Fences. We CANNOT wait to cheer her on!

Regionals recap!!
WOW! The huskies had a fabulous and successful trip to regionals this last weekend! Before we get into shoutouts, we want to congratulate everyone for their hard work this season, we are so proud!!!
We want to congratulate the following riders on their tickets secured to zones!

Another special congratulations to our lovely senior captain, Kamryn, for winning the first annual Deb Wesoja memorial Senior Captain award for our region! This award is presented to a senior captain in the region who demonstrates leadership and commitment to horsemanship, and is voted on by the coaches of the region. We are so proud of Kamryn, who is entirely deserving of this award. We are so thankful for her two year tenure as a captain, and incredibly proud that her commitment has been recognized across the region.
We also want to take a moment to acknowledge and honor our region's horse of the year, Uno. He has been a loyal draw for countless riders in our region and zone. Thank you to Jassa and Wishmaker for sharing him with us all, we miss him and are so grateful for all he has done for our team and others.
