Today, we’re proud to spotlight the Vanessa T. Marcotte Foundation , one of our official charities, to celebrate ahead of our 50th running! Founded in memory of Vanessa Marcotte, the foundation is dedicated to ending violence against women and supporting programs that promote personal safety, empowerment, and healthy relationships. Through community partnerships, education initiatives, and advocacy efforts, the foundation works to create safer communities while honoring Vanessa’s legacy of kindness, compassion and service.
We are honored to support the foundation’s mission and grateful for the impact they continue to make throughout Massachusetts and beyond. 🦋

As we approach the 50th Boston 10K for Women, our sponsor Withings will recognize 10 amazing athletes that reflect the courage, determination, and passion of our running community. And we're excited to introduce our first athlete, Lily Wetherington!
Lily started running to manage anxiety and heart palpitations—but found strength, confidence, and purpose along the way.
Through running, she’s raised nearly $15K for causes close to her heart and completed the Boston 10K for Women twice.
Now, she’s continuing her journey—turning gratitude for her health into action, and proving that running can change more than just your pace.

It's , and we want to highlight all of our amazing volunteers! Last year, more than 350 volunteers arrived before sunrise to help us make Boston Common race-ready for thousands of runners. Whether they volunteered with friends, family, or solo, all of them played a crucial role in making the Boston 10K for Women possible, and we truly can't host this race without them!

As we welcome thousands of runners to Boston, we're already buzzing with excitement for this weekend. As Boston's *second* longest-running road race, we know that running bridges divides and builds community that lasts beyond race day. If you're one of the tens of thousands of runners participating in Monday's big race, we wish you LUCK.

We're excited to spotlight each of our official charities ahead of our 50th running, and today we're showcasing 261 Fearless Club New England! Founded by running pioneer Kathrine Switzer Marathon Woman, 261 Fearless is a female-centric community that focuses on the fun, social, non-competitive side of running. The New England chapter has free running clubs throughout the region, and raises funds to train women in underserved communities to become certified coaches.
It was around this day 59 years ago that Kathrine Switzer wore bib number 261 as she completed the Boston Marathon. With that accomplishment, and in the decades since, she has been a tireless advocate for women's sports. We were thrilled to have her race with us a few years back, and thankful for all that she does for our sport.

We're excited to host all of you for our 50th running in October! With a larger field size this year, we've introduced an option to have your bib number mailed to your address before race week. You can select this option (+$10) as part of registration.
Again this year, we'll have multiple days of bib number pick-up opportunities on race week, and bib number pick-up on race morning at Boston Common. Bib number pick-up dates and locations will be announced in the months ahead.
