It's time to welcome Erin McCarthy to our Women Powered by Withings campaign!
As a 2x Boston Marathoner running with heart and purpose, Erin makes every step count.
In 2026, she’s taking on 12 races to raise $7,500 for cancer research, honoring her mom, Jill, who passed from metastatic breast cancer.
With nearly $45K raised to date, every mile is a tribute.
This October, she returns to the Boston 10K for Women—running for remembrance, resilience, and the power of women supporting women.

Meet our very own Boston 10K for Women legend, Joan Benoit Samuelson! 🌟 ✨
Let's take you back to 1978 - the time of bell bottoms, disco, and the second running of a little race called the Bonne Bell Mini Marathon. At just 21 years old, Joan set a course record and won the first of five titles (winning in 1978, 1979, 1983, 1984, and 1985).
A true icon of the running world, Joan qualified for the U.S. Olympic team and made history as the first ever women’s Olympic marathon champion in 1984. She also set American records at the Boston Marathon in 1983 and the Chicago Marathon in 1985, both which stood for decades.
We feel incredibly lucky to have Joan as a part of our Boston 10K for Women family, and her passion, accomplishments, and commitment to women’s running continues to inspire generations of female athletes.

Currently, and among other running leadership engagements, she serves a coach and associate board member for Girls on the Run Greater Boston , and she actively supports the local Black Girls RUN! Boston - two of our 2026 Charity Partners!

Today's Winner Wednesday post is coming to you on a Monday because it's Molly Huddle's birthday! 🎂🎁🥳
Molly is a 5-time Boston 10K for Women champion (winning in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2015, and 2019)!
In 2019, Molly broke from the pack at Commonwealth Ave. and powered home to Charles Street to clinch the win. Beyond our race, Molly is a 2x Olympian, a 28-time USATF National Champion, and a former American record holder in both the 5K and 10K.
And fun fact: Molly Huddle led a campaign for Apple to create the female running emoji, which was released in 2016. 🏃♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏼♀️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏿♀️
Happy Birthday to this running legend!

Let's give it up for Adina Crawford! From hosting pre-race warm-ups to joining us at our Run Clubs, she is an absolute powerhouse. And we're happy to feature her in our Women Powered by Withings campaign!
What started as “just a race” became something much more for Adina Crawford.
For five years, the Boston 10K for Women has marked her growth—through strength, setbacks, and everything in between.
Some days she showed up confident. Other days, carrying more than miles.
But she always showed up. This October, she returns—reminding us that resilience is built by choosing yourself, again and again.

The one and only Katonya Burke is BACK as one of our Boston 10K for Women Ambassadors!
Katonya began her long-distance running journey at age 40, and she was the first person selected for the 2020 Boston Marathon Honorary Team, which marked her first marathon. She has since earned a Six Star Medal, which is given to runners who have completed the original six major marathons (Chicago, New York, Berlin, London, Boston, and Tokyo).
She is also one of Boston’s co-ambassadors for Black Girls RUN!, and received the 2022 Myra Kraft MVP award, which recognizes volunteers for going above and beyond to give back to their communities. Alongside her passion for running and community service, Katonya can be found behind the wheel of her “BIG RIG" aka a 53′ tractor and trailer.
Way to go, Buttercup! 🌼
