At Simmons, women athletes are the top - and only - priority in the varsity sports program. Unlike coeducational institutions where women's teams often take a back seat to the men's programs, Simmons gives its "Sharks" the best practice times, outstanding equipment and facilities, funding, and the undivided support of nearly 1,900 students who cheer on the athletes and encourage them to succeed in a spirited environment.

Track & Field Honored On USTFCCCA All-Academic Team - Simmons University NEW ORLEANS, La. – Simmons University Track & Field was recognized by the a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as recipients of the All-Academic Team, as announced by the organization this week.
