Start ‘em young! It’s shocking to still hear the myths that prepubescent children should not workout- especially in today’s Information Age. Many University level studies have proven that when done correctly there are only benefits to starting to train young.

- It will stunt the child’s growth

- It will negatively affect growth plates in bones

- It will negatively affect their hormones/ endocrine system

There are a ton of advantages to starting to train as early as 8 years old! Can you name one in the comments?

Madison’s first time playing goalie!! She played amazing- but I was kind of relieved after the game she said she would rather skate out….. thank goodness lol

6 months post surgery for me. Finally after so much pain, mobility issues, and elbow problems my shoulder is finally feeling better.

Try this superset at beginning of your next upper body pulling workout. Lay face down on incline bench. Keep posterior chain (back/ glutes) tight and engaged. Db shoulder extensions- use light dbs and make sure to move both shoulder blades as well as humerus (big arm bone). No swinging move slow and controlled x 15 reps.
Grab heavier set of dbs and now do a db row using same position on bench. Make sure to retract scapula with each rep x 12
-Adding in the single joint movement first will help to "prime" to pulling muscles you should be doing the rows with.
