What a weekend for the Cycle-Smart athletes at Tree House CX!
We saw great results from our athletes across all categories.
From a Masters 40+ win for Greg Colby Greg Colby, to a breakout ride in the Elite fields for morethanracingcx riders Rowan Harrison and Naomi Ericson, and a weekend sweep for Tyler Abrams, we couldn’t be more proud of our athletes!

Congrats to Cycle-Smart coach Jordan Villella (Jordan Villella) on winning NEOCX’s Down By The River CX last weekend.

Jordan said the race was tactical and came down to the wire, where many of the skills taught at came into play.

“At camp we often talk about racing to the decisive final feature; winning the race to that pinch point for good positioning. I did exactly what we tell our athletes to do, and this time it worked out pretty great!”

A milestone moment for Cycle-Smart athlete Tori Glascock, earning her first UCI points at Rochester Cyclocross with an 11th in the C1 and 9th in the C2. 🔥

As a decorated collegiate swimmer, Tori is no stranger to the effort required by ‘cross. But learning the nuances and skills specific to the sport has been critical. Coach Alec Donahue Alec Donahue has helped Tori develop the technique and confidence to let her power on the bike shine! ✨

Cycle-Smart athlete Greg Colby (Greg Colby) recently took the 40+ win at Kilowatt Cross. But the magic and challenge is that there’s so much more to bike racing than the 45 minutes spent between the tape.

As a coaching company, we understand that better than anyone. Greg doesn’t have a ton of time; as a dad with a full-time job, he has a lot of priorities to balance. So with limited time, he and his coach Jacob Fetty (Jacob Fetty) need to maximize efficiency. Coach Jacob works with Greg to break down the ‘cross course to ensure his fitness goes the distance, and has dialed in his race-day nutrition.

Congrats on your W, Greg! We’re confident it’ll happen again! 😉

Congratulations to Cycle-Smart athlete Cormac Nagle (Cormac Nagle Cycling) on his first UCI win at the final stage of La Ronde Des Vallées, securing the mountains and sprint jerseys and 4th overall in the process. 🇫🇷

Cormac’s coach, Adam Myerson said, “Honestly, it’s just a privilege to get to work with a rider like Cormac. He’s a model student of cycling and does all the work I ask him to with a passion and persistence you can’t really teach. It’s great to see all that hard work paying off.”

For many of us, CX season is imminent. How many CX prep boxes can you check? ✅

🟩 Practicing dismounts, remounts and barriers.
🟩 Running 1-2x a week.
🟩 Reviewing equipment - checking for wear and tear, tubulars glued, etc.
🟩 First draft of your race schedule. When are you trying to go fast, and when can you rest?
🟩 Cyclocross specific bodywork and strength.
🟩 Goal-setting for the upcoming season.

Training races are like a dress rehearsal for the big show. They’re an excellent way to see how your body, bike, and process are performing without added pressure. We recommend that our athletes add training races to their schedule if they are looking to add intensity in a group setting, meet new members of the community, and simulate a race environment ahead of the season!

Our friends at morethanracingcx and JAM Fund Cycling Team are hosting the Vineyard ‘Cross Race Series every Wednesday from Aug 26 - Sep 23. We’ll be seeing you there! 💪

Thank you to everyone who attended the 25th Annual . It’s always special to see so many people with a passion for the sport in the same place working towards the same goals.
