Nicole Price Coaching is an Online Fitness + Nutrition brand geared towards moms, moms to be, and women looking to live a healthier lifestyle.

Letโ€™s be honest, does anyone really want to be restricted to the same foods every single day and on top of that spend hours every Sunday prepping those meals? 

I donโ€™t know about you, but I would MUCH rather spend my Sunday doing something FUN with my family ๐Ÿคฉ๐ŸŽฃ๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธโ˜€๏ธ

Here are a few simple strategies from a busy mom of 4 to make eating healthy EASIER:

1๏ธโƒฃ Meal Planning: Dedicate some time to plan your family meals for the week. (I use the Notes app on my iPhone & share it with Kyle so he can see what the menu is for the week). This actually saves me SO much time by taking the guesswork out of daily meal decisions which as a result creates daily last minute grocery trips to get the supplies I need for the meal. 

2๏ธโƒฃ Keep Essentials & Quick Proteins Stocked: Keep your kitchen stocked with healthy staples. Two things that are ALWAYS on hand in my kitchen: Bone Broth & Grilled Chicken. Batch cooking proteins like grilled chicken and protein rice to use in a variety of meals throughout the week is KEY to staying on track. 

3๏ธโƒฃ Focus on Intuitive Eating: Now, this one does come with time after some practice. But once you have a GOOD understanding of appropriate portion sizes and learn to listen to your bodyโ€™s hunger cues, it is a game changer. Slow down while youโ€™re eating - I get it, itโ€™s hard to do this especially if you have an infant and someone is holding baby for you until youโ€™re done - but try to accept the help and savor your food so you can listen to your body and eat until satisfied instead of shoveling all the food on your plate into your mouth as fast as possible. This mindful approach will help you stay in tune with your body so much more. 

โœจMaking these small changes will help you enjoy food in a more balanced way without eliminating the foods you love and still be able to achieve your health and fitness goals. Itโ€™s all about balance and finding what works best for you!

Every Monday I ask my clients to complete a short form with some questions about their week. This is just one way I stay connected with my clients to ensure they feel like they are being supported in their efforts. I ask them to tell me about their wins from the week but also any challenges they faced.

Life isn't perfect and your path to a healthier lifestyle won't be perfect either.

What matters is how you decide to move forward. Are you going to let a "bad week" determine your future for the next year? Or are you going to accept it for what it is and make the next week better?

After I receive my clients check-in forms, I review them and send them a personalized feedback video to discuss a game plan going into the next week.

11 weeks postpartum update

The weather has been GORGEOUS on the Cape so I have been going for jogs in the morning. I have to sayโ€ฆ. My jogging pace right now is probably about the same speed as power walking ๐Ÿ˜‚ BUT nonetheless, Iโ€™m moving!

My body has been feeling a lot more sore than normal lately, is this what it feels like to be getting ~ o L d ~ ? ๐Ÿ˜…

I have to be honest. With my other postpartum journeys, I felt this sense of needing to rush to get back to my pre-pregnancy body and felt a sense of accomplishment by being able to say, โ€œI was back to my pre-pregnancy weight by 3 months postpartum!โ€

This time is different.

Maybe itโ€™s because life is different now. 4 kids. Different schedules. Sports. Travel. Activities. Building a business. Etc.

BUT, I decided to enjoy the process instead of trying to rush through it.

Iโ€™m not counting calories like I normally would but I am prioritizing nutritious whole foods to maintain my milk supply.

So, hereโ€™s an update to let you know I still have 10 pounds left to lose before Iโ€™m back to my pre-pregnancy weight and Iโ€™m A-O.K with that ๐Ÿ˜Š
