Legends Live Forever. 🚫📚🚫🏀
What an unforgettable day for the No Books No Ball family.
Seeing one of the Michael L. Bivins Courts renamed in honor of Coach Tony Richards Sr. is something we’ll never take for granted. For over 35 years, he’s dedicated his life to our youth and our community, always putting others first and proving that this program has always been about more than basketball.
Thank you to everyone who came out, celebrated with us, and has supported No Books No Ball throughout the years. This honor belongs to the entire community that helped build this legacy.
The work continues.

By linking athletic prowess with academic eligibility we want to encourage our student athletes to gra

Congratulations to NBNB’s very own Coach Jakhi Dean on graduating from New England Law Boston today.
Jakhi has been apart of the NBNB family since he was 7 years old and for the last 4 years has served as a dedicated coach, volunteer, and mentor to our youth.
We are proud of you Jakhi and grateful to be apart of your village and journey. Your hard work, leadership, and commitment to giving back to the next generation does not go unnoticed.

Congratulations to 🚫📚🚫🏀 alum (Taina Mair) on being selected in the 1st Round, 14th pick by the Seattle Storm!
From the very beginning, Taina, you’ve been a star—on the court and in the classroom. Soon to be graduating from the prestigious Duke University, you’ve shown what it truly means to balance excellence in academics and athletics.
Since your P*e Wee days, your passion, toughness, and scrappy style set you apart. And as part of a co-ed program, you’ve always stepped on the court ready to compete—never backing down from the boys.
Keep inspiring the next generation of lady hoopers who are watching your journey and dreaming big because of you.
Your NBNB and Boston family are SO proud of you. Much love always 💙

No Books No Ball Basketball Program continues to stress the importance of education first. We are proud to highlight our reading literacy program across all of our divisions:
•P*e Wee (Ages 7–9)
•Juniors (Ages 10–13)
•Youth (Ages 14–17)
This mini series captures how our student-athletes take part in academic programming before each of their games. From reading literacy for our younger divisions to college and career readiness support for our older student-athletes, we remain committed to preparing them for success both on and off the court.
For our Youth Division, we also implemented Your Next Play: Paths During & After High School, which provides structure around college, career, and postsecondary planning.
All of our student-athletes are required to participate in these academic programs before each of their games, helping them stay sharp academically while preparing for life outside of basketball.
Thank you to all of our sponsors and supporters.
