No Books No Ball Basketball Program No Books No Ball “Over 30 years teaching more than Basketball”

WWW.NOBOOKSNOBALL.COM Basketball aptitude can often translate into athletic scholarships.

The No Books No Ball (NBNB) Basketball Program is committed to increasing the high school graduation rate of at risk children and others within the communities that we serve. We believe that all students are capable of academic success and we seek to use basketball as a means to achieve that end. By linking athletic prowess with academic eligibility we want to encourage our student athletes to graduate from high school. Our longer term objective is to encourage our student athletes to attend college. We encourage our student athletes to leverage their basketball skills to get these scholarships to help defray the cost of today’s college education. Through NBNB, students learn the importance of team work, school work, discipline, perseverance, goal setting and other positive reinforcements. We strive to teach the Five Characteristics of Good Democratic Behavior:

Cooperate

Be Creative

Keep an Open Mind

Accept Responsibility

Have Concern for Others

So proud of you all. To watch so many of you grow from P*e Wees into young men and now take that next step is what NBNB is all about. Keep working, keep growing, and continue making us proud!

Happy Birthday to our Founder, Coach Tony! 🏀🎉

Thank you for all of your sacrifices, time, effort, and most importantly, the countless lives you’ve touched and hands you’ve helped uplift along the way.

For over 35 years, you’ve continued to pour into generations of young people, families, and the community. NBNB wouldn’t be what it is today without your vision, commitment, and love for the kids.

Today we celebrate you and give you your flowers. 💐

Happy Birthday, Coach Tony! 🧡🖤

Legends Live Forever. 🚫📚🚫🏀

What an unforgettable day for the No Books No Ball family.

Seeing one of the Michael L. Bivins Courts renamed in honor of Coach Tony Richards Sr. is something we’ll never take for granted. For over 35 years, he’s dedicated his life to our youth and our community, always putting others first and proving that this program has always been about more than basketball.

Thank you to everyone who came out, celebrated with us, and has supported No Books No Ball throughout the years. This honor belongs to the entire community that helped build this legacy.

The work continues.
