The Breath of Music by the numbers:

🌟 Over 170 audience members from 28 different zip codes.

🌟 A huge 26% of parties brought someone who had never been to the ballet.

🌟 11 hardworking, local artists supported.

🌟 One beautiful studio theater serving Boston's southern neighborhoods.

“The Breath of Music” was a huge success - led the audience on a musical journey, choreographers new to us and familiar shared their visions, local artist showed portraits of local people and sketched dthe show, and freelance dancers expanded our skills and networks, all in front of an audience of over 150 people - and that's how art changes lives.

We hope to see you next time!

Deanna (dancer) debuts and Avery (dancer) returns to Northeast Arts Studio Theater at Forest Hills for The Breath of Music.

Deanna on collaboration: "Just as meaningful discourse on complex topics with people of diverse backgrounds and opinions opens new perspectives, collaboration between artists allows them to influence each other, opening an opportunity for the audience to reshape their own perspectives."

Avery on collaboration: "I collaborate because not to do so would be to deny the very purpose of art. Collaboration pushes everyone’s limits and foments new ideas and new relationships through a shared goal and problem solving. We are better together."
