The missing does not get easier. As I witness grief, in all its forms, I see it’s here to stay and the reality of this knowing becomes the ever real difficult piece to accept, absorb, and navigate. A real picture of me and what grief looked liked in my eyes, skin, face. I went off social media for a long time it was part of self-preservation and being able to just get up and drink a glass of water— if you’ve been there, you know. As I try to speak more openly about my experience with grief and loss, I do not want to hide any parts of it because I hope it will help someone.

He left us in a cyclone. It will never be explained because sudden death is unreasonable and therefore unexplainable. January 4–8, 2017 North American winter storm cyclone.

Stay safe. Stay indoors. Check your power lines. We need more solar and windmill energy.

I love you dad. Every day.

Case of the Mondays.

Real life. I’m fu***ng tired. Doesn’t mean I give up or stop trying, but I want to be honest here, too.

My friends mom died yesterday from covid, unvaccinated. A beloved member of the recovery and yoga community meeting lost her life in a car accident, ironically hit by a man driving drunk. City of Boston is likely going to shut down our emerging new community again, after being closed for 16 months. We lost our lease in COVID after paying rent on two closed spaces for six months. I tried to help my best friend buy a house in the town next to us that my other friend was selling but they took a cash offer $250,000 over asking. Don’t blame them but sometimes it’s hard to not look around and ask myself what the hell am I doing here and how can I can help decrease the suffering. Afghanistan, India, Ma Ganga, the fires, hurricanes, climate change. The T man. Sometimes it really just is A LOT and it’s ok and healthy to name it.

Don’t worry, my next post will be something yogi goddess like. 😅
