I used to be one of those people who HAD to be at the gym 6 or 7 days a week or I felt like I was missing out on “gains”.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized the importance of rest and recovery. You don’t grow in the gym. You grow outside of it. Train harder. Train smarter.

The truth is that in todays day and age we place far to great of an emphasis on what others think of us. In reality their opinion of you is none of your business.
Focus on yourself, not the opinions of others.

🛑Stop comparing yourself to others in the gym.
-
Everyone is at a different point in their fitness journey. Our bodies are all genetically different. Stop wasting time wishing you looked like a certain someone and focus all your energy and effort on yourself.

Do you workout on the weekend??
-
Maybe you workout M-F and take the weekends off. Most of us are working 8+ hours a day and are completely exhausted and stressed out. Stress leads to weight gain. Sometimes finding time to squeeze in workouts before or after work/school/ etc can cause even more stress. You might be better off scheduling your rest days on your busiest work days.

Side note, I know not everyone has weekends off and you can apply this thinking to fit your schedule and days off.

Motivation is just an emotion. It will come and go. It will only get you so far. Rely on things like discipline, habits, and consistency to get you through.

If you want a real hack try logging your workouts,tracking your food intake, and sleeping 8 hours a night. And do it for a whole year not just 12 weeks. I guarantee it will work better than any hack you find on the internet.

Muscles don’t need to be “shocked” or “confused” into growing.

They need to be provided with enough mechanical tension for them to grow.
-
Mechanical tension is created by using a heavy load and performing exercises through a full range of motion for a period of time. This is the main driver of muscle growth. Not shock or confusion.

I don’t know who started this dumb ass trend of dry scooping pre workout but it needs to stop.
-
Aside from the risks of heart issues and your teeth rotting, most of the ingredients like betaine and glycerol require water to be their most effective.
-
Why take a pump product and not maximize its effectiveness? You are literally throwing your money in the trash.
