8. Bhagavad Gita 17.20
——————————————————————————
"A gift is pure when it is given from the heart to the right person at the right time and right place, and when we expect nothing in return."

This is sattvic giving — the highest form. No strings, no scorekeeping, no audience. A good teacher gives like this every single class. So does the student who moves their mat to make room for someone new.

7. Bhagavad Gita 6.4
——————————————————————————
"A person is said to have achieved yoga, the union with the Self when the perfectly disciplined mind gets freedom from all desires."

Notice it doesn't say freedom from the body, or the world, or other people. Freedom from desire. That's the whole battlefield — and it's internal. The battlefield of the Gita was always a metaphor. So is every hard pose you've ever held.

6. Bhagavad Gita 17.16
——————————————————————
"Calmness, gentleness, silence, self-restraint, and purity: these are the disciplines of the mind.”

These are tapas — austerities of the mind. Not punishments. Practices. The mat is where a lot
of us first notice how loud it is in there. That noticing? That's the beginning.

Meet the people behind the practice 🧘🏼‍♀️

This week our teacher feature is Emily Jerant-Hendrickson.

Emily has a wealth of knowledge but remains in a constant state of inquiry when it comes to the body. A class very much worth giving a try!

5. Bhagavad Gita 4.22
——————————————————————————
"He who is content with whatever comes, without attachment, not disappointed when he gets
nothing, is wise.”

Contentment here isn't passive. It's not "fine, whatever.” It's a radical refusal to let results define you. Not resignation — freedom. Some days that looks like a breakthrough. Some days it looks like falling out of half moon and laughing anyway.

Meet the people behind the practice!

Next up we have Victoria Huebner. Or resident sound healer, trauma informed teacher and body worker.

A multi-talented addition to our team and a joy to work with!

4. Bhagavad Gita 2.47
——————————————————————
"Set thy heart upon thy work, but never on its reward.”

The point isn’t to stop caring; it’s to care about the right thing. The action is yours. The outcome
never was. Show up, do the work, let the rest go. On the mat and everywhere else.
