Brilliant choreography in 1932 by Kurt Jooss. It is an excerpt from"The Green Table". Pertinent for today. It is interesting to see how the politicians go in and out of anger/ accusations with propriety/etiquette. As Doris Humphrey says:

Showing a piece, RAW VELVET, locally --I choreographed it in 1999 on the professional track students at the Boston Ballet School, involving a complex organic synergy of ballet and modern technique. It will be in a concert celebrating women choreographers including Kathryn Anderson (Founder), Kat Pantos, Melenie Diarbekirian (current Artistic Director), Juliana Utz, and myself. It will be performed by the Commonwealth Ballet of Acton MA, Saturday May 18th @ 7 PM and Sunday May 19th @ 1 PM, Maynard High School, Maynard, MA. So nice to see this mention of my choreography to John Harbison's "Deep Dances" (2006). I had no idea this was being performed in 2019 at Symphony Hall - how I wish I were there! John's work is brilliant in the best sense of the word...and I am honored to have my name associated with him. In a myriad of ways.
