I wrote her a letter, the me I used to be.

The me who’s hurt felt unmendable,

the me who’s bending felt like breaking,

the me who lost herself in the pursuit of validation.

I wrote her a letter.

And that’s when I found that the journey of healing

Never was linear.

And darling,
I hope that one day you feel home in your skin,
feel a love for the sanctuary to your souls burning.
For the flesh, though scarred, that saves you daily from the toxins placed directly before you.
You see,
You have always punished the shelter that’s held you,
carried you through battles of which you will not speak
& torment to self that left you broken and beat.
But I hope that one day you open your eyes & recognize the lies you chose to hold onto mean nothing to you
or your worth to this world.
I hope you accept yourself as you are just as deeply as you accept your becoming.
I hope that you lose the grief that confines you and the shame that divides you, slowly, into pieces.
I hope that one morning you wake up with the sun to truly see your reflection. Darling, awake. to your being,
and know that you are home.

3 things I’ve learned in my 1st week in CO

1. If you pop the tire on your bicycle, call your husband and cry while he reminds you that you’ve got this cause you’re an independent queen👑

2. Always have a tire pressure gauge in your car, and if you don’t, call your husband cause he’ll tell you where to get one and stay on the phone with you while you figure it out. Then he’ll remind you that you’re an independent queen and you can do anything.🎉

3. Always check your tires, and if they’re flat…we’ll you get the idea.

Tire trouble and all, it’s been a beautiful week in Boulder with an amazing new team and LOTS of FaceTime calls to the most loving and supportive man I know. I’m grateful for this new journey & that I get to do it with my best friend (even though he is 800 miles away)🤍

Just my nephew & I being the most excited for the big things coming down the road🎉

I remember sitting in therapy a year ago telling my therapist that something big was in store, but I just wasn’t sure what it was or how to access it. This week, my therapist and I reflected back on that conversation with compassion for the hard year that taught me patience, understand, acceptance, and led me here, to the moment I get to dive into the “something big”.

Like I said, we are pretty excited about what’s in store🤍

The universe has a funny little way of working things out in your favor☀️

Wow! What a wild ride this year has been. Through wonderful highs and some of the lowest lows I feel so blessed to have been in this classroom with these kids and to have learned the lessons I needed to learn. I’m grateful for an amazing team who lead me through it and became true friends and my amazing support system who always stands by me. Though it’s bittersweet to say goodbye I am so ready, and so excited for the adventure ahead. The universe truly has its own timing and I am happily choosing to trust it. 🤍
