I am a podcast coach and consultant. I run my own podcast, Nature Untold. I help clients feel confident on their podcasting journeys.

07/13/2022

I did all the wrong things.

I lost audio files.

I didn’t hear back from dream guests.

Didn’t promote my show.

Didn’t know why I was building my first show.

I missed interviews accidentally.

I scared off brands who wanted to work together.

I’ve been there, done all the wrong things you could possibly do in the podcasting world.

And from that, I’ve learned so much about what makes a show enjoyable (for you AND the audience), sustainable, and important.

I’ve taken all of those lessons and stuffed them into the Launching a Powerful Podcast eBook.

So, if you’ve been thinking about starting a podcast, but don’t know where to start, this eBook is for y’all.

The Launching a Powerful Podcast eBook is live, y’all!

I’ve been slowly and methodically working on this eBook for the past few months and I’m so thrilled to finally see it come into the world!

I wanted to create a resource for folks who were looking to start a podcast that included much of what I worked with my clients on.

I wanted to create a working document that helped new podcasters set their intentions, ground themselves in their purpose, and set themselves up for success from the very beginning.

After 4+ years of producing podcasts myself, and a year of working with podcasting clients, I’ve learned a thing or two. Not only about what it takes to produce a show, but what it takes to sustain it.

This eBook is designed to make you think, consider the big picture questions first, and design a production schedule that works for you and your life.

I’m so excited to see what podcasts come out of this. The time is now, y’all.

When folks come to me to ask questions about podcasting, it usually goes something like this:

“What kind of mic should I use?”

“What software do I need to edit my show?”

“Do you think this a good name?”

While these questions are important, folks get so far ahead of themselves before stopping to ask,

“Why do I want to start this show?” or “who will this serve in my community?” or “what energy and time do I have to give to this project?”

Asking the big questions and getting really clear on your purpose first is critical to creating a sustainable and enjoyable podcast.

I’ve created the Launching a Powerful Podcast eBook for just that: to help new podcasters set themselves up for success from the very beginning.

So, if you’re ready to get started on the podcast of your dreams, grab an eBook and let’s get into it.

FINALLY!
The Launching a Powerful Podcast eBook is finally here!

I’ve been working on this for months and I’m so happy to see it finally come to life.

I created this eBook because I truly believe anyone who wants to have a podcast should have one, with one caveat. They should start their podcast with a great, intentional foundation.

My goal is always for clients to enjoy what they’re creating, have a larger impact, and be able to sustain their shows without burning out.

This eBook walks through how to set the right foundations to create a powerful podcast.

Been wanting to start a show for awhile? This is the eBook for you!

Can’t wait for y’all to dive in. ✨

5 podcasts to listen to this 🔊

If you’re not familiar with Juneteenth, it is a federal holiday on June 19th in the United States commemorating emancipation of enslaved African Americans.

I wanted to share 5 great podcasts to listen to this Juneteenth to support your community members and learn more about folks who may have a much different experience than you.

Here are my recs:

1️⃣ - this podcast offers up conversations around how race affects every part of society. A great listen!

2️⃣1619- this podcast is a mini-series that is a few years old but still such a powerful listen. It goes through how slavery has transformed America.

3️⃣Louder Than A Riot - this podcast from is awesome! It connects the rise of hip-hop and the issue of mass incarceration in the United States.

4️⃣Kinswomen Podcast - a podcast that bridges the gaps and builds trust between white people and people of color.

5️⃣The Stoop - podcast about blackness, race, and identity in America.

It’s 👟❤️🏃🏻‍♀️

I’ve had a long relationship with running and it’s taught me a lot over the years. I’ve gotten really into it and I’ve had months where I couldn’t bring myself to do it at all.

And like all of my other hobbies, I find a lot of lessons to be learned from it and translated to the podcasting world. Here are my 4 top lessons from running:

1️⃣ it can be a real grind but that’s the beauty of it. It’s always worth putting in the consistent time and effort in the end, even if it doesn’t feel that way in the moment.

2️⃣sometimes you need to walk so you can run in the future. Sometimes you need rest. Sometimes you might not get the episode out. But if you take the time you need when you need it, you’ll be able to sustain yourself for the long haul.

3️⃣its just about putting one foot in front of the other. It’s that simple. You don’t need to do it ALL AT ONCE. You can take it at your own pace.

4️⃣once you do it enough, it gets better and better. The more you run, the better it gets for your body and your mind. You get more comfortable in the uncomfy. Same with podcasting. The more you do it, the better and maybe even easier it gets. It’s just about putting in the time, and committing to it!

How will you get out and celebrate today? 👟
