The more of the method you know, the more choices you have as a teacher.
Levels can help us organize and understand the work. But Pilates was never meant to become a set of boundaries around what we can teach or when we can teach it.
When we know the full system, we can see beyond the rules and respond to the person standing in front of us. Sometimes that means returning to something foundational. Sometimes it means discovering that an exercise further along in the work reveals exactly what has been missing.
That’s the forest.
In Classical Method Studies Part II, we’re moving into Levels III–V while continuing to ask how all of this work belongs together as one method.
There’s still time to join us in Boulder or on Zoom, September 30–October 4.
