This past weekends group of guys put in the work. I said to show up with minimal gear, no food and a simple cutttool and they did. At elevations of 12,000+ feet we experienced heat of the day, cold freezing nights, rain showers, hunger and some good endurance hikes. Fish were caught, marmot hunted, fires made, berries nibbled on, bow drills worked, micro shelters built, cordage twisted and lakes swam in. An amazing time across the board. Max, Rusty, Salem and Josh put the work in and got it done. Proud of this group and the energy they brought forward 🤙

The Chihuahua Desert was calling and and myself answered. Deep canyon walks, hunting with rabbit sticks in washes, trapping rats/mice for meat while eating the desert winter flora, building stone tools from the land and crafting everything else that we would need to live in the canyons of the Chihuahua desert.

The experience was great and I was happy to share all that I knew of this desert oasis. comes from the Northeast and set out on a personal journey to experience a place that was foreign to him. He wanted to test himself mentally and physically, pushing himself to new challenges. Below freezing temperatures at night, sunny days, 23+ miles walked, star filled nights and minimal food will challenge all of us (Finn joined us).

A job well done, an adventure well earned and adversity had. To become resilient, one must test themselves in the realistic landscape of the natural world provides.
