I really appreciate everyone who wants to ride here with us!

I know it is very frustrating that once again this season we have not been able to ride much yet due to rain/muddy trails and now extreme heat/humidity! Believe me no one wants to ride more than us! Horses are like kids they want to eat whether they are working or not!🙀

Luckily with the new riding arena and a fabulous Lesson Wrangler we have been able to do lessons, Scout Activities and Parties!

Remember that visitors are always welcome to visit the animals! You will be a favorite if you bring carrots or apples with you!🐴

Here is hoping for Riding weather and a long Fall🤠🤠

Lessons - Lessons - Lessons

Two great things to Announce regarding our Lesson Program!

1. We now have a dedicated Lesson Wrangler that has a wide range of experience with students of various ages, abilities and goals.

2. We finally have an indoor riding area so when the weather is not cooperating for outdoor lessons we can now move inside instead of cancelling!

Info regarding Lessons:

* Lessons are individual for approximately 60 minutes - $45.00
* Youngest 5 years old - Oldest no age limit
* There is no long-term commitment – you can choose from occasional lessons or weekly depending on your personal goals.
*Lessons are given in the arena and practiced on the Trails when the student is ready to do so.

The primary goal for our lesson program is to build solid horsemanship skills and understanding of the horse that will set the foundation for a lifelong love of horses and the ability to pursue any riding discipline in the future.

There is a strong emphasis on mastering the basic skills needed to understand horse behaviors, how to care for and manage horses and solid riding skills that can be transferred to any horse and any discipline.

Students will:
* learn how to safely be around and mange horses,
* learn how to read horses body language and what it means,
* learn different techniques for grooming and preparing your horse for a ride,
* learn about various tack, their purpose and how to use properly,
* learn the fundamentals of riding that will be gradually applied to our various horses.

Learning to ride takes time and each rider progresses at their own pace. We do not rush riders and will not move forward until we feel that the rider’s ability has developed to do so safely.

I just had a serious talk with Chaco regarding cookies! In 12 days we went thru 6 lbs of cookies so his cookie ration was going to have to be cut way back! Obviously he doesn’t agree with me and after having his morning cookie he is now waiting for another!
