Did you know you get nature lessons with your membership at Whitehall? Today, small turtles were found on the playground. Turns out, a turtle nest was hatching! At last count, nearly 30 turtles had hatched and many kids were able to watch them crawl right out of the ground. Fortunetly, our very own Mr. McClain came to the rescue and collected the baby turtles to keep them safe and return them to ponds and lakes around Bowie where they can thrive! Mr. McClain taught the kids about the nesting process, their ability to swim right after birth, and so much more!

What a fun Saturday evening!
