Vaughn Sports Academy DMV Select 12u King

The team performed very well this weekend going 3-1 and coming up short in the championship game today losing 6-5 in extra innings. Each team started the 7th inning with a runner at second by rule and the Lions couldn't get our runner across the plate to tie it and win it. Great game against AYRA Athletics Gold 12u in both Pool play and championship.

The team travels to Salibury MD for the School Out Bash Tournament next weekend. Lets go win it all boys!

The Team came to play today at the MADE MD CHAMPIONSHIP Tournment.

Game 1
12u won its first game 5-0 behind stellar pitching from Right hander Reece Beal who through a shutout. Player of the game was awarded to who was selected by the umpires for his great defensive plays one of which was a sliding catch that turned into a double play.

Game 2
Congrats to on his 10th Homerun ofnthe season which tied the game at 1 all. Cam currently leads the VSA Bomb Squad and had a 3 for 3 day. With the team trailing 6-2 going into the top of the 6th, the team pushed across 2 runs making it a 6-4 game and down to their last out. came to the plate with the bases loaded and sent one over the right center field fence. Putting the team up 8-6 in a clutch at bat! shut the door in the bottom half of the 6th earning the win. The hurler went two innings striking out 4!

The team goes into single elimination tomorrow as the #1 seed and looking to punch their ticket to the championship.
