The madness must be stopped.
Many dudes believe they can box at the same level as D. Wilder but Wilder just a power advantage over them.
They truly believe skill wise, they are even with Wilder.
Here’s a quick list of stuff that if you cannot do, then Wilders boxing skill is probably better than yours.
1. Throw a 123 stepping forward then move your head after.
2. Throw a 121 stepping forward.
3. Throw a level and fully extended 12 right down center line with head movement after.
4. Throw your cross at different ranges. Full length, mid range.
5. Punch with the correct part of your fist.
6. Know how to catch, parry or block. (If you don’t know what those terms are he’s 100% got better skill than you)
7. Throw punches while moving in 4 different directions, forward, backwards, left, and right.
8. Throw a jab and or cross on the mitts that his snap, keeping your hands up.
9. Know how to get your head off line while throwing punches.
This is just a super general start.
Many people over estimate their ability to do things based on their lack of knowledge of said subject.
While most dudes at home think they can ‘at least box at Wilders level’ I’m here to let you know you probably can’t. No where near.
A coach could put you on mitts right next to Wilder and ask you both to execute some basic combinations and their would be a drastic difference.
Amateur boxers out there; some can, and some can’t.

We have some very good, competitive bouts on the card Feb. 27th.
Adan Ruiz is always a fan friendly fighter. Mean, explosive, slick.
Carlos Diaz out of X Fit is a very durable and craft boxer going against Jason Wiseman (tentatively). Wiseman is a tall rangy slick boxer with some pop.
Kameron Rich is an experienced boxer with a great motor and a nice overall skillset. Chrystion Stewart has national experience and has been in the ring sparring with all your favorite pro boxers.
Patrick Jackson has been very impressive every time I’ve seen him fight. Lacks the experience of Milton Bennet but is a very strong composed and durable boxer. Milton Bennet has national experience and has already faced off against the best in the country in his weight division.
Terry Alexander, Liam Wyatt, and Jaden Curry have been active for BGKY lately. All of our boxers are coming to bring the heat like they always do. Hopefully get Aiden Siffuentes on the card as well, as well as a few new BGKY Boxers.
The crowd and energy will be electric, there will be a ton of WKU students watching there first ever boxing match. Upperclassmen, may have been to this event already so they know what to expect.
I’m still matchmaking. Show will have a nice build up. Looking forward to this electric atmosphere we’re gonna see in 3 weeks 🔥🔥🥊

Knockdown or Not?
Rule 19.1 USA Boxing National Rulebook.
‘The boxer touches the floor with any part of the body other than the boxers’ feet as the result of a blow or series of blows’
I’m see blue leaping in with a left hook and red timing the hook with a jab.
For scoring purposes it would still only count as 1 punch (Amateur boxing).
Either way, respect the refs decision. Could be subjective.

This is one of the biggest matchups of the night! #1 ranked amateur in the country will be competing against one of Louisvilles top middleweights. Lee Bennet will look to use his physicality and boxing skills to pull the upset

Another X Fit vs Swiftkick matchup 🔥
Both of these guys are experienced amateur boxers. They have about 30 bouts a piece, both have been competing for years under USA Boxing.
Kwame is a slick counterpuncher, and can make himself an elusive target to hit.
Shamarion has a ton of reach, strength, and athleticism, to go along with his boxing toolset, and he can make this a very difficult bout to score if he can land enough shots and disrupt Kwames flow 🧪🥊

Zack Collins has been having a great year. Advanced to the Semi Finals of the Indiana Golden Gloves, and steadily sharpening his technique fight by fight. ‘Cutthroat’ is assuredly ready to compete. Zack will have to watch out for Ismael’s speed and combinations as these 2 fight for control of the bout.

Carlos Diaz is a strong boxer, who’s nimble, and stout. Able to put his skillset together well, at his best. Hes facing another Champions Corner Boxer. A very solid gym, with knowledgeable coaches and Smith fits there mold. Athletic, IQ, and throws great combinations. Brandon Smith vs Carlos Diaz will be competitive all the way through.

We really have multiple main events. Bennet and Duran. Morris and Smith. Collazo and Rich. Art and Jermaine.
National Champions, undefeated open boxers, guys that pull up to different cities and beat their local Golden Glove champ. Guys that have been taught really well how to punch and box.

James Smith (‘Trace’) has been on an absolute terror this year.
He fought Kameron Myles and secured the decision at Februarys College fight night event. Had to find a new gym. Lost to one of Louisvilles top boxers’ Chrystion Stewart in a close decision. Came back on won the rematch for a belt. Will this momentum carry through and be another great night for Smith?

Kameron Rich (BGKY Summer Classic ‘Most Outstanding Boxer’) has his hands full an experienced vet Jonart Collazo. Look to see Kameron use his speed, agility, and punch output to try to out work Collazo. Collazo is no stranger to competition, competed against Ebenezer Griffith in 2023 in a 3 round decision. Years of experience and bouts under his belt. Does Collazo have enough 🔥to defeat the younger and hungry Kameron Rich?
