I had the honor of being sworn in recently by Juvenile/Probate Judge David Woessner. It has been my great honor to serve as one Wood County's Common Pleas General Division Judges for the last six years and I continue to be honored, having been re-elected to serve another six years. While looking over this page I noticed that I never posted pictures of the final result of the Courtroom 1 remodel. We have been in the courtroom since last July and we have been grateful that the Wood County Commissioners have been committed to preserving this 125 year old building and the courtrooms that fill the building.
In addition to the pictures of the rooms that were updated I have also included pictures of the carpet and the stained glass ceiling. We were very intentional in having these coordinate.
If you like the pictures please feel free to come by to see it in person.

I posted this shortly after the invasion of Ukraine on my personal page, but thought it might be appropriate to post here too.
In July 2019 I was in Kyiv to monitor elections for the parliamentary elections following the presidential election of President Zelensky. Democratically elected officials were put in place following that election with the mission to settle disputes with Russia and root out corruption. The road was a tough one and success was limited, as it always is in a democratic system where everyone has a voice. That democratically elected government was trying to work peacefully with its neighbors and become part of the international community. It is sad to see those accomplishments destroyed and a new, unsure future ahead for Ukraine. I applaud the stalwart leadership of President Zelensky and the bravery of the Ukrainian people.
